Contextual Teaching And Learning 1

Models of learning have created many decades ago. Learning approach was originally developed by Bruce and colleagues. Learning model has a broad meaning and part of the learning model is a learning strategy.

Various learning strategies have the same components. For example, that all learning begins with student interest and motivate students to engage in the learning process. But each one-stage learning strategy has different stages. For example, the stages of activities in different hands-on teaching with pangajaran cooperative. These differences are mainly taking place between the opening and closing in learning. It should be understood by the teachers if we want  this strategy can be implemented well.

Each student has their own way to absorb information, called modalities. There are three categories: Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic (VAK). Teachers should find out beforehand modalities which students belong. Students with Visual modality would be easier to learn through what they see, students with auditory modality would prefer to learn through what they hear. While students with kinesthetic modalities easier to understand the lesson when learn while doing light movements

Learning strategy that could include the cognitive, affective and psychomotor approach to strategy is Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL).
