Seven things

I liked to eat the fish (fried, roasted, the smoke)...
Especially if eaten on the beach with Emma Watson.

I liked singing while playing the guitar or the organ...
Like to imagine perform a duet with shakira .

I like racing with motorcycles...
Because like to imagine the race with Valentino Rossi.

I most liked to watch football...
Moreover if Manchester United that competed.

I always try to be on time when promised....
Especially if it promised with women.

I'm a tough guy but easily touched (crying)...
Especially when watching sad movies.

I wanted always to be able to think positive...
In facing all the challenges and the living ordeal.

Selamat Milad Blogger Bertuah

White and Black

Salaam :)

1. Thank youuu dear mba Amesh from Dreamesh ^^ I've got my giveaway package today, yayyy!!
She is sooo right when she wrote 'Giant faux pearl necklace'... the necklace is soooo big! But I love it :D

2. Thank you my dearest Mommy who bought me a beautiful loose white blouse and black & white fabric.. ^^
The skirt is actually a sheet of fabric (not yet sewn). And I combined the giant necklace from mba Amesh with smaller necklace to make it longer.

Nowadays there are many designs of blouses that can be worn by muslimahs to go to a party/formal occasion.. But too bad they usually have beautiful details at the chest--that is supposed to be covered... I'm not sure about this white blouse... But I think the front pleated details can be somehow a shape shifter... hmmmh what am I talking about?? @_@

Chicken Tetrazzini

I had leftover chicken to use up as well as some mushrooms so I decided to make Chicken Tetrazzini. When looking on the web to find recipe ideas, I noticed that all the recipes called for loads of butter and whole milk or cream. I love creamy rich food but I try to make things a bit healthier when cooking at home. I remembered my mother in law made a delicious cream sauce for the Gemelli with

Musim Hujan Tiba

Oven Roasted Broccoli

If you read my blog you know I love roasting everything. After several sunny days we are back to cloudy and cold weather so I decided to roast some broccoli to go with the Roast Beef with Basil, Oregano and Garlic. I found a delicious looking recipe from Alton Brown and decided to give it a try - I am so glad I did. This is my new favorite way to make broccoli. My husband, son and I loved it and

The story for u dan me

We have separated a long time...
Eight years...
Not short time...
For a separation...

Even a thousand months have passed...
And many other loves anchored...
The past with you...
Was not easy to vanish...

Maybe for u and me...
It was a first love...
Until meaning so much...
Although ending bitter...

The past...
It should be a lesson...
Not something to be regretted...
And was impossible to return...

Let all that...
Become part of our life story...
To get better...
Although it was...
Not with you.

Roast Beef with Basil, Oregano and Garlic

I was looking for a tasty recipe for roast beef and found one over at The Crepes of Wrath. I had the same cut of beef and all the ingredients so I decided to give her recipe a try. It was simple to prepare and smelled insanely delicious while it roasted in the oven. I loved the seasonings used and the beef turned out perfectly cooked, moist and tender. This dish was a HUGE hit with my entire

Sweet and Sour Chicken

I wanted to use up some fresh pineapple I had in the refrigerator so I decided to try a recipe for Sweet and Sour Chicken that I found on Simply Recipes a long time ago. It was such an easy recipe to make and it took just minutes to prepare. My entire family loved this dish - especially my kids who both had seconds. I served this sweet and sour chicken over steamed rice for a delicious and

Cheesemonger A Life on the Wedge

Cheesemonger A Life on the Wedge
Remember last year I told you about my friend Matthew Amster-Burton's book Hungry Monkey? I told you it was funny and smart and filled with terrific recipes and that even if like me, you didn't have kids, you would still love it. If you read the book, then you know I didn't steer you wrong. Now I'm going to tell you about another book, by another friend. It's Cheesemonger: A Life on the Wedge by Gordon "Gordonzola" Edgar. And even though it's about cheese, you don't have to love to cheese to enjoy the book.

Because I was a big fan of the cheese department at Rainbow Grocery, I interviewed Gordon for KQED several years ago and was surprised to learn we went to the same high school. Since then I've been impressed with how knowledgeable, funny and what a great writer he is, in addition to being a great cheesemonger of course. So I am particularly happy to tell you his first book is just as wonderful as he is. The book combines humor, politics and all things cheese, especially the stories behind cheeses you may know and cheeses you will certainly seek out after reading the book. I had cheese on the brain while reading the book and it gently steered me away from some of my usual picks over to some more interesting ones. Hello, Explorateur!

As was the case with Matthew's book, by the end of the first chapter I was laughing out loud. Not that the whole book is humorous but it is completely engaging and delves into local issues, food issues, the world of retail, all with a bit of punk rock and political activism thrown in for good measure. If you enjoy Gordon's blog, Gordonzola you are bound to appreciate the book as well.

EVENT:
Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 7:00pm - 10:00pm
at
Books Inc. 1760 Fourth Street in Berkeley

Gordon will be signing books at a book launch party. Cheese will be provided by the Epicurean Connection. I will be there and hope you can make it too!

United in harmony

The brotherhood was beautiful...
Established not only because of having the similarity...
But because of appreciating each other...
Tolerance...
And loved...

The brotherhood is the gift...
That keep the unity...
Without discriminate...
The status and the position...

However the brotherhood could be waver...
If not maintaining the bond...
The introvert's attitude…
Jealous and hypocrite...

Because of that...
Keep the brotherhood that has existed...
Not to break...
Only because of emotions and the passion...
Only because of having the difference...

Because of togetherness in this world...
Just as long as human life...
Could not be repeated...
If only a memory.

This poem is an expression of gratitude to Fanny and Mas Edwin's for the award which you give, i really appreciated this :)

Untuk sahabat

Andai aku bisa membuat Anda melihat
berapa banyak yang jahat padaku
Andai saja aku bisa membuat Anda melihat
betapa istimewanya Anda memperlakukan aku

Jika saja aku bisa membuat Anda melihat
betapa sempurnanya perbuatan Sahabat kepada saya
Jika saja aku bisa membuat Anda melihat
bagaimana perasaanku kepada anda semua

Jika saja aku  Anda melihat
berapa sering anda membuat saya tersenyum

Taco Soup

I am always looking for new soup recipes as well as Mexican recipes. My friend Jen told me about a taco soup recipe she tried and loved so I was excited to make it. I adapted the original Food Network recipe quite a bit to suit my families tastes. The recipe called for a packet of taco seasoning but I don't like the taste of store bought taco seasoning so I made my own. I thought it was strange

Why do YOU cook, Andrea Nguyen?

Andrea Nguyen
Photo credit: Penny De Los Santos

Andrea Nguyen is a cookbook author who has demystified making Asian dumplings and recreating Vietnamese food in your own kitchen. Woven in between her recipes are stories about family, culture, traditions and faraway places. But aside from being such a talented author, it's great to spend time with Andrea. She exudes enthusiasm and positive energy. She also has a wonderful laugh and can talk about food for hours. Here are the 13 reasons why she cooks. I bet some of her reasons will ring true for you too...

My mother started me out cooking when she deemed me old enough to make rice for our family dinner. I was about 8 years old. By then, she and my father had observed that their chubby youngest daughter was an enthusiastic eater. Why not see if she can cook too? After all, it’s part of being a good, well-rounded super woman. My mother, now 75, is not only beautiful, but socially graceful. Her hair is constantly coifed, her nails are perfect (she does them herself), and her clothing is custom-made by her. She still cooks 99% of the meals that she and my dad eat. I don’t aspire to be my mother but she did get me on the road to cooking and seeded my culinary curiosity.

I’m a cookbook author, writer, and cooking teacher, not a chef. I feel awkward being called a chef because I don’t practice my craft in a restaurant. I describe myself as a ‘professional home cook’ as my workspace is a regular kitchen equipped with a modest Sears stove. I don’t put out food on an industrial scale and my adrenaline rush to ‘fire’ a dish and send it out to the table is because I want to sit down to eat with my family and friends.

Though I’ve cooked for decades, I don’t foresee myself stopping. Why continue to mince, simmer, sauté, grill, pound and clean up after myself? Here are a baker’s dozen reasons for why I cook:

1. I get hungry and eat three meals a day.

2. There are no Asian street vendors or noodle joints outside my door.

3. Homemade food is tastier than purchased food.

4. A meal you cook yourself costs less and you can freeze leftovers.

5. A pot of rice or pho makes the house smell nice.

6. You can dial in your personal food preferences when you cook for yourself.

7. When I eat a bad dish out, I feel compelled to make it up to my palate by preparing a better version of that dish at home.

8. To see if I can replicate a professional chef’s brilliance.

9. To get a feel for traditional foodways and experience an old-fashioned cook’s craft.

10. Repeatedly making the same recipes allows me to work through unfamiliar techniques.

11. The more I cook, the better I write better recipes.

12. To preserve cultural traditions, lest they disappear.

13. Cooking calms and centers me. I turn off Twitter.

Pelatihan Getting Started Gurdacil Lembang

Lembang Drs.

1. Pengolah kata
2. Lembar Kerja
3. Multimedia
4. Rencana Kerja
5. Pengenalan Internet.

Diharapkan Setelah mengikuti pelatihan ini maka semua peserta/guru akan memiliki kecakapan;
1 .Akuntabilitas dan Kemampuan beradaptasi.
2. Kecakapan Komunikasi.
3. Kreativitas dan Keingintahuan Intelektual.
4. Berpikir Kritis dan Berpikir dalam sistem.
5. Kecakapan Melek Informasi dan Media.
6. Kecakapan Hubungan Antar Pribadi dan Kerja sama.
7. Identifikasi,Formulasi dan Pemecahan Masalah.
8. Pengarahan Pribadi.
9.Tanggung jawab sosial.

Terimamaksih

The water source of life

Water is the source of life ...
However could become the disaster...
If the river was not able to contain it ...
Could no longer absorbed by the ground ...
And no longer enough trees to suck ...

The river previously the most beautiful place...
Now a garbage dump...
The forest that previously dense...
Now remained at the twig was not leafy...

Until...
The flood struck...
All over the country...
Swept all away...
Property and lives lost in vain ...

The disaster happened...
Be not enough to be regretted...
All caused by human...
That made nature change...

We realised the mistake...
However continue to repeated...
We knew...
However did not care...

We must be united...
Not only blamed each other...
But helped each other...
Loved...
Guarded and maintained...
Conservation the environment...

Not for us only...
But for the child...
And our grandchild later.

Steak, Roasted Poblano Pepper, and Sharp Cheddar Cheese Panini

While we were on a road trip through Arizona last December, we ate at the most wonderful Restaurant in Williams, Arizona called Red Raven. After spending the morning at the Grand Canyon, we stopped in the Red Raven for lunch. I had fantastic fish tacos while my husband ordered the special of the day which was a flank steak sandwich with chiles and sharp cheddar cheese - it was an AMAZING sandwich
