Cinnamon Cheesecake Fondue AND a GIVEAWAY!!

I found this recipe in my new cookbook by Joy Bauer called Slim & Scrumptious. This was a fun and quick dish I made for my kids' afternoon snack this week. Needless to say it was a HUGE hit with both of my kids and they gobbled up every last bite. It was fun for them to eat and it was a great way to load up on fresh fruit. My daughter liked to dip the fruit and crackers directly into the dip

Artichoke Bruschetta

I recently made a French Baguette and decided to make a fun dinner of Greek Bruschetta and this artichoke bruschetta for my kids and I. I loved the marinated artichokes with fresh basil, grape tomatoes, and Parmesan cheese on the crispy baguette - the combination was fantastic! Simple, quick, and tasty... my kind of dinner.Artichoke Bruschetta:Recipe and photos by For the Love of Cooking.net12 oz

Greek Bruschetta

My husband was out of town last weekend so my kids and I were on our own. We rented movies after playing in the park on Friday afternoon and came home to a house smelled of freshly baked bread. I decided to do a fun dinner for us using the French Baguette I baked earlier in the day. I made two different types of bruschetta (I will post the other one tomorrow). We had a nice evening eating with

Panko Crusted Green Beans with a Soy Garlic Aioli

My friend Maureen and I recently went out to dinner to celebrate her birthday and we had a wonderful panko crusted green bean appetizer that we both loved. The restaurant fried their green beans and served them with a flavorful aioli sauce that was fantastic. I decided to recreate a much healthier version at home by baking my green beans. They turned out wonderful! They were crisp and crunchy on

Zucchini Coins with Marinara and Parmesan

This is my new favorite side dish or appetizer. I created these with some of the leftover marinara, panko crumbs, and Parmesan I used for the Chicken Parmesan I was making for dinner. The zucchini coins were simple and quick to make and tasted wonderful! I loved the flavors and textures of this dish with the soft zucchini and marinara sauce, the salty cheese, and the crispy panko. I will be

It's filled with healthy and delicious recipes that are healthy, flavorful, and delicious for babies, toddlers, and adults. I made this mozzarella bruschetta for dinner and it was a huge hit

Brie served with Crostini and Grapes

I love getting samples of goods in the mail from different companies, especially when they send me cheese! I was sent 4 different cheeses from Ile De France. I thought about all the different recipes I could make using the Brie, but in the end, we had friends come over for dinner so I decided to serve the Brie with crisp crostini and grapes. The cheese was subtle in flavor and very creamy in

Cream Cheese and Bacon Stuffed Jalapeño Poppers

We had friends come over to celebrate Cinco de Mayo last night. We had a fantastic time hanging out, drinking margaritas, and eating tasty food. They were a HUGE hit with everyone! I loved the cream cheese with

Roasted Asparagus with Prosciutto

This happens to be my new favorite appetizer and I will be making it often. I liked how quick and easy this recipe was to make. I loved the salty pork with the roasted asparagus - the combination was perfect. We all thought it was a really delicious dish. This roasted asparagus makes an amazing appetizer but I think it would also be great as a side dish, especially for a holiday dinner.Roasted

Roasted Tomato and Feta Cheese Mini Tarts

We had friends over for the Olympic Opening Ceremonies on Friday night. We decided to do a bunch of fun appetizers instead of a sit down dinner. I thought roasted tomatoes and feta cheese would make excellent mini tomato tarts. These little tarts were so simple to make, had very little clean up and were a huge hit with everyone. I loved the flavor of the salty cheese, sweet tomato and

Chicken Flautas with Jalapeno Jelly

I had some leftover roasted chicken to use up and was in the mood for Mexican so I decided to bake some flautas. I chopped up the chicken with peppers, onion, garlic, cilantro and seasonings before stuffing it into flour tortillas. I served these tasty flautas with some hot jalapeno jelly for my husband and I while my kids had them with salsa, guacamole and sour cream. They were a huge hit with

I've seen recipes for pizza bites around the web for awhile now and decided to make them for the appetizer party we had. These pizza bites were quick and simple to make and tasted great. The kids loved them and so did the adults. I look forward to trying

Bacon and Cream Cheese Stuffed Jalapenos

I found this recipe on The Pioneer Woman's website last year and have been waiting for an excuse to make them. We were having friends over for an appetizer party and knew these would be a big hit with the guys. They were super easy to make and really, really, REALLY delicious. I decided to use lean, par cooked bacon and lower fat cream cheese to make them a little less fattening. They were a big

Caramelized Onion Crostini

I made this appetizer for a friend's birthday party along with the Caprese Skewers. I found this recipe in my new favorite cookbook, Tyler's Ultimate by Tyler Florence (thank you Jason). I adapted the recipe a bit by reducing the butter and anchovy amounts and by slicing the baguette. The combination of caramelized onions, salty anchovies and Asiago with the tangy olive was amazing! The colors

Caprese Skewers

My dear friend Kyle was having a small get together for her birthday and she asked me to bring a couple of appetizers. I've been wanting to make caprese skewers for a long time so I decided to make them for this occasion. It is the easiest appetizer to make and a huge hit with everyone. I recently received some olive oil from Atlas Olive Oils in Morocco. They make wonderful extra virgin olive
