Yet another award! Thank you printiland! The award title might be a little reminder to that cheeky love song Peter Cetera sings, but I'm so honored! I never consider myself inspirational in a way, I was thinking of "you're you sweet" or "you're so funny" award instead of "you're an inspiration"! I am used to think that inspiration=Oprah, so, WOW! Thanks again printiland!

Vice Versa

I love the word versatile. Don't you just love words that start with un-popular letters of the alphabet? V, W, X, Y, Z... Sometimes they get left behind and have really thin sections at most dictionaries. Anyho.. the incredible Zee (see, that's why I love calling her by her nickname) gave me this award called versatile! Thanks much! Looks like I suppose to name 7 random things about me that you probably haven't heard of, or not, er.. well, here goes..

1. I'm pretty good with animals, I love them and I have never get bitten in my life (except for mosquito and other bugs, of course). Even a trained rottweiler once lied on his back, tails shaking when I approached him, the owner was quite embarrassed. Maybe I smelled like one?
2. On the contrary, I'm not very good with people, especially new ones. Shy, perhaps?
3. I have never been a devoted fan of rock stars. But I gotta say that the Beatles and Queen's songs make my ears smile. Yes, I'm old school.
4. My favorite Sesame Street characters as a child and adult are Count and Oscar. Love how they are "different" yet still lovable.
5. No, I don't think Bert and Ernie are a romantic couple. They're just an odd friends.
6. My grandmother was a model and a kindergarten teacher. Isn't she lovely?
7. I do like seeing socks with sandals trend but you've got to be really crazy to put them on under the hot sun here in Indonesia. I think that's one trend I can't never pull off.

Well guess I have to pass it on to 15 people now. But here's another fact of me, I love bending rules. So, andi, miki, tuppence, holly, martha, and kelli. Here's to you.

What a big shoe to fill in! There's one big responsibility there, sister! I never think that my blog or even myself could do that!

Award and Birthday Party Sneak Peak..

I thought yesterday was my first time cradling Baby G on my arms, now she can't barely sit on my lap, always on the run, even if I get a hold on her, she won't stay still. 1 year passes so fast, and being a baby is a short time, now she's going to be an infant, a toddler, finally a small little girl. But I love calling her Baby G, nonetheless, Infant G or Toddler G is just too awkward..

So as you may guess, Baby G's first birthday party is coming close. First! Can you imagine? Her first year of life! She won't be realizing about it, but I'm nearly wetting my pants here. So, as a good mom (yeah, right), I'm browsing all through the net for a good inspiration for her upcoming celebration. I was first thinking of fairy princess theme party, and then think..mm.. It's much more fun for older kids, so I will keep it for the next 3-4 years..Circus/carnival theme...eliminated for the same reason..then I found this particular theme, I can't seem to put a word for it, but I am having the color scheme and all! See these...

And this is by far, I have made for the party, it's the favor, an activity book, it's only a proof print, not bound together yet. I will come up with more posts about my preparation, and of course the full post about the party! Yay! I'm so excited!


And by the way, belen of belen: beh-lehn (her name is Stephanie) is giving me this award!! This is surely a day-turner! You know, when I had a "blue" day, this award is suddenly cheer my day up into one bright orange day!! And I guess I have to play along then because the rules of the award stated that I need to divulge ten things about myself that most people don't know and award this to 10 fellow bloggers.
Right.

1. I hate clipping my nails, not that I like them long and spiky (shudder), but I am just too lazy to do it, for me it's the most boring activity I have to do once in a week or two. For the same reason I hate getting a manicure, I always fall asleep at the beautician and it's not a good view.
2. I really really am afraid of frogs, yes even the tiniest most un-harmful one.
3. I enjoy horror movies but a really scaredy cat. (hey, there's a huge difference between a movie and real situation)
4. I am having oatmeal stir fried prawns for dinner (now, that I've mentioned it, I run out of garlic powder, mmm..)
5. I can adapt to most food served in the world, I am thankful for that, as long as the food is not too extreme it made to an episode of Fear Factor.
   
6. On the other hand, I can't adapt to most public lavatories in the world. They have to follow several of my regulations before I can use them, squeaky clean, fresh-smelled, silent (bars and pubs'? no.), and not moving (airplane's? no). I get many complains about this.
   
7. Though I seem to like all things cute and lovely, which I really do, I adore gothic and dark stuffs. Wednesday Addams to me is like Hannah Montana to every little girl born in the 21st century.
8. My husband, which I rarely talk about in this blog, is actually a very nice likable person. I have nothing more to write about him.
   
9. I have many things in my mind I want to be better at. One of them is cooking.
   
10. My best cooking so far is fried banana with brown sugar. duh. Any 3rd grader can do that!

I broke a kitschy toy parrot...

... it used to be one of hanging features of a kitschy baby mobile toys (made in China, about 1.2US$). The noise it makes, I think, is more suitable keeping a baby awake and alert than drowsing her to sleep. So I used this as a tug-o-war rope with my strong 8 months old baby (hanging mobiles don't really fascinate her now). And.. I pulled the parrot off.

Although he is a kitschy parrot, I thought he looked a little sad....so I took a picture of him to cheer him up. Enough about him, I'd like to share a very great news!! I received my 3rd and 4th award simultaneously!

I'd like to give the biggest warmest hugs to Petrushka and Olly, who both run a wonderful blog on their own! So here's the first award.

..just when I need it!! Yaaaaay (again)!! When I got my first award yesterday, passed it on, I thought, no way, I want to pass this award to more people, it's very hard to pick, I wish I could pass the award to more friends. ... and my wish granted, another award to share with more friends!! I just got an award!

Lovely Diana from our.city.lights. is full of surprise! You haven't forgotten the Nara postcard she sent me, right? Now, look what a deer she is, sending me this beautiful award!! I was stoned for a moment or two in disbelief as the array of other recipients are the most creative bloggers, from fashion blog, design, even a culinary one!!
