Wide Leg Trouser?

"Wide trousers can be treated as like we wear skirt. We can wear shorter blouse/shirt."
Is it true?? Well, make sure that the crotch is loose enough. You don't wan't that area to be tight so people can see your body shape...
Shawl: Delisha; Tee: unbranded; Trouser: MADE BY ME :P; Shoes: Marie Claire
Ummm, forgive my grumpy face >.<

Yeaayyy finally I wear my self-made trouser!!
Personally I still think this look is kinda plain and too boyish :p And looks shorter and wider (fatter) ahahahahahh

Become a daily style? No.
Wear it next time? Only if I need to wear trouser for heavy activity. Otherwise? Prefer Skirt / Knee length dress + jeans heheheh

Trying a New Hijab Style

Turban Look-Alike.
Wore this style of veil 2 weeks ago, to go to a wedding. Using pressed paris hijab (jilbab paris wiru), and inner hijab.
I was wearing a bolero. Does bolero act like cape to cover our chest? Ummm, I'm not sure :-/ so better try to look for another idea of hijab wear, Tea.

BTW, a better way to wear crossed veil is by wearing shawl, like Aishi Lely do here, she posted a video tutorial too from Juliasayz.

DIY: Reversible Batik Vest

Done making a simple vest yesterday. Started at 6 am in the morning, finished in less than 2 hours, and wore it to office :D
(click pictures for larger images)
(sorry for the disturbing face and bad quality of pictures heheheh)

HOW TO MAKE IT?
I found 2 sheets of batik fabric, they were scraps of mom's uniform :p
Mine were @ 105 x 50 cm. You can have them larger. No need to measure seriously.

In photo: (1) cut rounded the bottom; (2) have the wrong side (bad side of fabric) facing you, sew the sides but leave the top unsewn; (3) turn out, now you have good sides facing you. Pin the top side for easier sewing; (4) sew the top; (5) make arm holes. Tips: use your blouse to mark where the arm holes should be.

You're done. You can wear it for many styles... wear the bottom side for top, wear as cowl vest, wear it inside out, or whatever, just as you like.

For the arm holes, I used blanket stitch (tusuk felton). Couldn't think the fastest way to make them neater coz I was about to go to office. Yesterday was batik day, right? Heheh. But actually the blanket stitch was the-most-time-consuming part of the creation. So if you can suggest another easy way to stitch the arm holes, I am happy to hear that :D (kepikiran pake bisban tapi gak ada di rumah)

Goldielock

What I wore to work yesterday:
Cardigan as blouse: Elizabeth toko tas di Surabaya; Belt: from mom; Beads necklace: Manggadua; Shawl: Mom's; SKIRT: MADE BY ME :D :D :D *grin*

hihihihi... those skirt was my very first outfit creation from sewing lesson. I've read all your comment from previous post (sorryyy i haven't visited your blog! Will do that at weekend, okay? :D)
And many of you said, wanna study sewing.
I encourage you all! Learning is fun! And once you get attached with your sewing machine, your sleeping dreams will be about sewing and your feet will keep moving just like when you hit the machine.
Of course I'm kidding.

Happy news today. Briptu Norman's punishment was done in a peaceful way :)

Do you know why this outfit was special?

"Hey I don't see something special, Tea."

I'll tell you in 5 seconds...
I wore this to office yesterday.
 What's special about this???

I MADE THE BLOUSE MYSELF!!!! Yaaayyyy!!! \(^0^)/
"Wait... you mean, you SEW it yourself??"
Uhuh. Yeah. I sew it myself :D :D :D :D
This is the third task of my sewing school :) Making blouse. I still can't believe I am able to do that.
A few months before, I was a girl who is afraid using sewing machine. And to produce clothes by my own hand, well, nothing beats the pleasure ;)

Mori girl-me :D

I love mori girl's style! Layers, loose, and comfortable. Did I tell you that I am still looking for a style that suits me best? Tried chic & modern style, failed. Quirky style, no way. Gothic? Umm, honestly, even though I don't do gothic make up, I used to wear dark colored clothes. And times that I really feel comfortable is wearing some kind of vintage, loose outfit. Just like Mori Girl's :)
Okay I admit I am not cool. Just leave my blog now. You won't get any inspiration here nyehehehehe :p

Never Bored

...wearing the same piece of batik dress, over and over again!
(Since I haven't bought more pieces of batik)

Batik dress: Dua Putri (Sutos Surabaya), Cardigan: unbranded, Bag: Mayonette, Shoes: UP
Sorry if you have to see me wearing this dress again in this blog heheheheh

Truthfully, I avoid shopping clothes right now. Well, what's the use of learning sewing if I still buy clothes? The sewing lesson has been emptying my wallet too, hahahaha
*But still, I am still far far away from "sewing neatly"
Had a problem to control machine to move in a direction I want. Just like driving a car.
Ahhh remembering I had done driving lesson twice and until now I'm not able to drive, really breaks my heart -__-"
Semangat semangat semangat!!! :D

The Cotton Bat Girl

Another pictures found!! :D :D
Did the photo shoot for last year's HFW, but not finding a fitted category :p
Please welcome, The Cotton(ink) Bat(wing) Girl!

Wearing Cotton-ink maxi dress in dark navy and my-own-designed-batwing cardigan
Umm, actually my hijab covered the chest but somehow the tie creates a silhouette like I tucked the hijab

Umm... please pretend you don't see this stupid picture. -__-"

I wonder what my grand children (someday) will ask me.
Grand Children: "Grandma...!!"
Me: "What, dear?"
Grand: "I found pictures of a girl on the internet, name is T*an*nd*!"
Me: "Well, that's my name.."
Grand: "She is weird."

Experiment 2010 - The Silver Skirt

Assalamu'alaikum :)
Long time no post about daily outfit... No mood for photo shoot and mixing & matching >.<

Been so busybusybusy lately, because I join a sewing class at Tuesday + Friday noon, a design class at Monday + Friday evening and keep working on Monday to Saturday. Forget to count the sewing homework heheheh
Keep up the spirit!!!! SEMANGAAAATTT!!!! \(^o^)/
Many many many people out there are much more busier than me, and even more tired.
SO, alhamdulillah :) Thank You Allah for every opportunity I have now.

BTW I found this picture in my hard disk. Awwww, I took the photo shoot at February 2010. Yeah, last year. Just an experiment of clothing, not really wearing them. Besides, the skirt is actually only a piece of fabric :D

Kinda cute to have a skirt with frills in the belt like that hohoho. Still haven't got the fabric sewn.

Batik & Purple

Yeah, the same batik dress as in yesterday's post :D
*actually yesterday's post was the outfit I wore last week on Friday*

Here's what I really wear yesterday. Umm, my office's dress code at Thursday and Friday are batik. Since I don't have much clothes in my closet, you'd caught me wearing things over and over again.
Purple tee: unbranded from 2006 (wow I still use it! :D); Inner hijab: square; Batik: Dua Putri (Sutos, Surabaya), jeans: Graphis; shoe: nevada (Matahari); beaded rope as belt; mom's crochet brooch
Turn back!! Oh no!! I have tail!!! don't see!! -___-"

Ohhh I guess I need more batik clothes.
But, ummm,,, it's not a primary need...! do not shop, Tea!!!
it's not a sin to wear the same clothes every week :))

Batik & Leather Jacket

Kinda weird mixing batik with leather jacket... But the color just suit each other. Here it is... circular batik dress and cropped jacket.

Batik dress: bought at Sutos (Gravity); leather jacket: manggadua; blue jeans & black shoes

Perfect Length
The below the knee-dress is sooo perfect to cover our thighs and hide some curves, so wearing skinny jeans will not be sexy :)
*but still, at this length, in my opinion wearing legging is still too much too sexy

Questioning The Theory
In theory, pear shaped body is recommended to wear A-line dress. Is circle dress a kind of A-line dress? Because wearing this dress makes me look some kilograms fatter :D
*ummm, maybe it's because your dress is oversize, Tea...

Black & Taupe

What I wore to office (and continued to design class at evening):

Black cardigan: unbranded, Taupe abaya: Vannara, Scarf: Zoya, Shoes: UP

The first picture was taken at my room, and the second picture at my office :D (me came first! So no one notice me click click camera! hahahaha)

What do you think of this combination?
I've heard that we should wear darker outfit for bottom, and lighter color for tops. Guess I'm breaking the rule... But rules are there for breaking, huh? :P

Looking good but not as ourselves?
Do you ever feel that sometimes we don't act like ourself, regarding to fashion? Me do. Just because I would meet stylish people at my design lesson, I would do some effort to mix & match clothes. Spending minutes in front of wardrobe, feeling like I've got nothing to wear. Then spend minutes more mixing this with that or those with these until finding good match.
That way, (maybe) I would look appropriate compared to other design students.

But maybe we could just be ourselves... not pretending to be cool or something. Just wear what we like. Whether it's so out of date, or we've worn it several time... it is much more relaxing (and even comfortable) to let go the stress of wanting new fashionable things--that will lead us to be unstoppable shopper.

Well, I'm still on my journey to have my own style. Are you? :)

PS: I wore UP shoes, designed by Indonesian blogger Diana Rikasari. It's soooo (amazingly) lightweight and comfortable :D

Jodhpur? Harem? Errrr...

The lack of knowledge is the reason why I don't know the name of this pants. Bought it because I love the colorful combination. But it had been in my wardrobe since I forget, had NO COURAGE to wear it in public! Hahahaha

Can you help me pick how should I wear this pants? T_T not good at styling... And please suggest me a way to wear it, hehehe..
*Best answer will get a cartoonized painting of yourself, drawn by me :) Sorry for the cheap prize hehe
*UPDATE: best answers had been chosen. Thank youuuu ^^

1. Wearing black top
 Excuse the unmatching shoes :p

2. Wearing turquoise top

3. Wearing hot-pink top

4. Your suggestion

Best Friend's Wedding #1

So, the title is "Best Friend's Wedding #1", which means there will be #2, #3, etc. Who will be the next? Hehe

Anyway, 2 weeks ago I attended one of my best friend's wedding reception :)
Just having the weird feeling that 5 years ago we first met at our college's orientation. We were so geeky and silly and noisy and suddenly one of us is legally someone's wife! :D

My friend's (Eny) wedding reception

Me with someone. I've already worn 12 cm high heels and my height still couldn't catch his!

Why we love wedding: It gave us reason to meet up again! And experience the chit chat and laughters that we once had in the past :')
Miss you all, dear friends....

Something's Missing...

Salaam...
hehehe, I feel something's missing started from Monday...!!
Yeaaahhh there's no HFW!! Hijabi Fashion Week was over :(
*Hijabi Fashion Week = an online event held by Em from Modesty Theory, which posted participant's outfits for a week

What I love from HFW: I love checking Em's blog everyday to see what will people wear today :D And it's beyond my expectation to be able to post something new everyday :)
What I've already posted for a week.
After the event, I was categorized as "an easy going low maintenance sense of style"
Hahahaha so true :P

Do you have some thought on HFW (do you like it or not, what do you expect, what you don't like, etc etc)?
Please answer the survey here :) Thank youuuu lovely readers ^^

HFW Day 7: Running errands

Salaam... Well, today is our latest day of HFW :)
A cup of life.... grocery shopping, picking up kids (ups, I haven't had kids!), running here and there...
All those random things should be done, and no time to prepare clothes to be stylish (besides, who cares of your clothes when you go to a market? :P)

At those moments I'll just take a random shirt, random skirt, and a matching jilbab :D
In a hurry! Hehehe
Source of background picture: here

Visit all lovely hijabi ladies at Modesty Theory today :) Thank you Em for inviting me in this Hijabi Fashion Week... And joining HFW made me blog everyday (something I usually don't have time for). Hihihi...

So how's your weekend? What will you wear at random moments? I'm not a fashion junkie... As long as my clothes are modest and not bad to be seen, it's enough for me :P

HFW Day 6: I'll be waiting for you :)

HFW day 6 theme is "Lovestoned" - Date Night w/ the Hubby
Well, since I haven't had a husband, probably I would wear this kind of outfit for going out with him :)

Dear my future husband, I want to have a dinner in a beautiful villa near a beach or lake...
Source of background picture: here :)

Drape cardi: Elizabeth (Elizabeth toko tas itu lhooo :D) / Ethnic brooch: malioboro / Cotton.ink navy neptune dress / mom's hat for costume party -_-

Hihihi I saw those hat before I do photoshoot and I thought the color match my cardi & my dream date (kind of a vacation) :P
Hopefully one day I can be a good wife for my husband and a good mom for my kids. Love you all, even though I haven't met you all :')

PS: Thank you for new followers and readers who gave me sweet comments :">
Will try my best to visit your blogs soon at my free time :)
